Leasr uses generative AI to negotiate with dealerships on your behalf. We tell every dealer this on first contact, every time. This page is the long-form version of that disclosure.
1. The agent
Leasr's text negotiator is built on Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 4.6 model with a custom system prompt and tool set. The voice agent runs on OpenAI's Realtime API. Both are constrained by the guardrails you set on your search profile.
2. What the agent will and won't do
Will: send and receive emails on your behalf, place outbound calls you've authorized, capture and structure the dealer's offers, propose counters, walk away politely, and pause for your approval whenever a guardrail would be violated. Won't: pretend to be human, sign documents, commit to purchase, share your hard budget cap or any forbidden personal data, or accept mandatory dealer add-ons without your sign-off.
3. Mandatory disclosures we make to dealers
First email contains the line: “Leasr is an AI assistant negotiating on behalf of [your name].” First voice call opens with the same disclosure plus, in two-party-consent states (CA, CT, DE, FL, IL, MD, MA, MT, NV, NH, PA, WA), a recording disclosure.
4. State-by-state notes
California (SB 1001), Utah, Florida, New York, Illinois, and Colorado have explicit AI-disclosure or chatbot-disclosure rules that apply to commercial conversations. We comply by disclosing in every channel, every first contact. If your state adds new requirements, we'll update this page and the agent's prompt.
5. Recordings
Voice calls are recorded by default and kept in Twilio for 30 days. In two-party-consent states the agent reads a recording disclosure before negotiation talk. If a dealer objects, the agent ends the call politely and the recording is deleted on request.
6. Your right to opt out
You can revoke AI-call consent in settings at any time. Outbound text and voice will stop immediately. Email continues unless you also revoke TCPA consent.
7. Audit
Every AI tool call, message, and approval is timestamped and retained on your account so you can audit what the agent did and why. Email privacy@leasr.xyz for an export.
